In hot, high-UV regions, exterior paint faces constant thermal expansion, intense sunlight and — near coasts — salt and humidity. The wrong product fades, chalks or cracks within a year or two, generating callbacks and warranty claims.

What to look for

Prioritise 100% acrylic binders for flexibility and adhesion, high-quality UV-stable pigments to resist fading, and additives that resist mould and algae in humid environments. A good weathershield coating should carry a colour-retention warranty of several years.
